Fast, intuitive point-of-sale interface for processing sales, managing payments, and handling returns.
The POS (Point of Sale) screen is your primary interface for making sales. It provides a streamlined checkout experience with product search, barcode scanning, cart management, and flexible payment options.
There are multiple ways to add products to the sale.
| Method | How |
|---|---|
| Search by Name | Type the product name in the search bar. Select from the dropdown results. |
| Search by SKU | Type the product SKU code in the search bar. |
| Barcode Scan | Scan the product barcode with a USB or Bluetooth barcode scanner. The product is added automatically. |
| Product Grid | If product thumbnails are displayed, click on a product image to add it. |
Once a product is in the cart, you can adjust the quantity, change the unit price (if permitted), or remove it by clicking the delete icon.
Every sale is associated with a customer. By default, the system uses the Walk-In Customer. You can change this to an existing customer or create a new one on the spot.
| Discount Type | How to Apply |
|---|---|
| Per-Item Discount | Click on a product row in the cart, then enter a discount amount or percentage for that specific item. |
| Invoice-Level Discount | Use the Discount field below the cart to apply a discount to the entire order (fixed amount or percentage). |
Tax is calculated automatically based on the tax settings configured for each product. The system supports both inclusive (tax included in price) and exclusive (tax added on top) methods.
The POS supports multiple payment methods per sale. You can split a payment across cash, card, bank transfer, and custom payment methods.
| Payment Method | Description |
|---|---|
| Cash | Physical cash payment, system calculates change |
| Card | Credit/debit card payment with optional card details |
| Cheque | Cheque payment with cheque number |
| Bank Transfer | Direct bank transfer with reference number |
| Custom Payments | Up to 7 custom payment methods (configured in Settings) |
If a customer needs to step away or you need to serve someone else, you can suspend the current sale and come back to it later.
Create price quotations from the POS screen. Quotations do not affect stock levels -- they are estimates you can later convert to actual sales.
When restaurant features are enabled, additional options appear on the POS screen.
| Feature | Where on POS |
|---|---|
| Table Selection | Dropdown at the top to select the dining table for this order |
| Service Staff | Dropdown to assign a waiter to the order |
| Types of Service | Select Dine-in, Takeaway, Delivery, etc. (adds packing charge if configured) |
| Send to Kitchen | Checkbox to send the order to the kitchen display and/or kitchen printer |
| Modifiers | When adding a product with modifiers, a popup lets you select toppings/extras |
Process returns for previously sold items. The returned quantity is added back to inventory and the payment is adjusted.
