Overview
The WaSMSNet module integrates your POS with the wasms.net messaging platform, enabling you to send WhatsApp messages, SMS, and OTPs directly from your business system. It uses two core utilities: WaSMSUtil for message composition and sending, and ApiClientUtil for API communication.
SMS
OTP
WhatsApp Messaging
Send WhatsApp messages to customers and contacts directly from the POS.

- Messages are sent via the wasms.net API (base URL:
https://sys.wasms.net/) - Delivery status tracking
SMS Messaging
Fall back to SMS for customers who are not on WhatsApp.
- Send SMS messages using the same API integration
- Automatic channel selection based on configuration
- Same template system as WhatsApp messages
OTP Sending
The WaSMSUtil::sendOTP() method handles one-time password delivery for verification flows.
- Send OTPs via WhatsApp or SMS
- Configurable expiry time (in seconds)
- Template-based OTP messages with
{{otp}}and{{expiry}}placeholders - Requires business_id (not raw API key) for proper business-level configuration
