Manufacturing Module

Overview

The Manufacturing module lets you define recipes (Bill of Materials), create production orders, and track the manufacturing process. It integrates directly with your product inventory, automatically deducting raw materials and adding finished goods when production is completed.

Bill of Materials / Recipes

The RecipeController manages recipes that define the raw materials needed to produce a finished product.

• Define ingredients/raw materials for each finished product
• Specify quantities and units for each ingredient
• Link recipes to existing inventory products
• Calculate production costs based on ingredient prices

Production Orders

The ProductionController handles creating and managing production/work orders.

• Create production orders for products with recipes
• Specify production quantity and target date
• System automatically calculates required raw materials
• Track order status (pending, in progress, completed)
• Raw materials are deducted from inventory upon completion
• Finished goods are added to inventory stock

Manufacturing Process

The ManufacturingController oversees the overall manufacturing workflow and settings.

• Configure manufacturing settings per business location
• View manufacturing history and reports
• Monitor raw material consumption trends

Getting Started

1. Activate the Manufacturing module in your subscription.
2. Ensure your raw materials and finished goods are set up as products in Inventory.
3. Navigate to Manufacturing > Recipes and create recipes for your finished products.
4. Create production orders via Manufacturing > Production.
5. Complete production orders to update inventory automatically.
